Background and Discussion:
This project is a transportation improvement project for Transportation Improvements near University of Houston - Cullen Blvd (Seg B) from S. of Wheeler Ave to IH45, which includes the reconstruct of Cullen Boulevard, new underground storm sewer systems, new 12 foot shared-use patch, 1 new signal, signal modification at 6 intersections, installation of landscaping irrigation system and new street lights in Precinct 1.
This change in contract includes the final accounting of bid items for a final payment.
The substantial completion date for the project will be set for Sept 16, 2024. In accordance with Section 5.3 of the General Conditions, (1) time of the essence, and (2) delay damages will apply past the new substantial completion date.
Expected Impact:
Changes will allow for the project to be closed out in accordance with contracted amounts and agreed upon changes.
