Background and Discussion:
Project includes completion of the two-lane concrete curb and gutter road with sidewalk on both sides and left turn lanes at the intersections approximately 7,800 linear feet of Anderson Road construction from 500 feet west of Hiram Clarke Road to Almeda Road/FM 521 (Segment 2).
This change in contracts includes:
The increasing of proposed temporary driveway quantity by 38 each. Total on the project is 48 there are only 10 in the bid quantity. ($48,500)
Item #38 - Structural Concrete (wingwall) - Increase quantity by 30 cy to construct proposed wingwalls per plans. Bid quantity is short of required amount. ($55,500.00)
Item #158 - Install temporary Conflict Manhole - Add new line item to construct conflict manhole around 6” steel water line to avoid delay in project. ($18,980.00 - 4 Days)
Item #160 - Adjust Manhole Tops - Add new line item to adjust existing manhole tops in conflict with proposed pavement elevations. ($13,290 - 2 days)
Item #48 - Precast Concrete Standard Manhole - Increase existing line item by 1 each to avoid conflict with 12” AC waterline and ATT duck bank. ($7,000)
Increase existing line items by 80 cy to demolition and replace an existing driveway and 10 LF of RCP not called out in the drawings. ($17,800)
Item #161- Remove existing manholes (all depths) - Add new line item to remove existing manholes called out in the plans. ($8,325 - 2 days)
Expected Impact:
Changes allow for compensation to the Contractor for actual quantities used in construction, in accordance with the original intent of the project.
