Background and Discussion:

Funds for the purpose of managing/administering the UASI grant program. This project will fund staff positions to assist with management and administration of the grant. They will help in the regional administration of the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP), including project entry, reviewing expenditure requests, jurisdictional liaisons, and other eGrant and grant-related activities.

Expected Impact:

If accepted, $334,146.01 from the UASI award is the fiscal impact of the HSGP Director and HSGP Deputy Director positions.

Alternative Options:

Without this funding the County would need to find alternate funding, possibly utilize general funds, to maintain a robust Homeland Security Program.
