Request for approval of a certain project, decreeing the project to be a public necessity and convenience, and directing the Harris County Real Property Division to acquire, six (6) road easement tracts for the public project known as Traffic Signal - Woodforest Boulevard at Barbara Mae Boulevard and Woodforest Boulevard at Dell Dale, for the purpose of traffic signal reconstruction, UPIN 23102MF2QX01, Precinct 2.

Background and Discussion:
The traffic signals at Woodforest Boulevard at Barbara Mae Boulevard and Woodforest Boulevard at Dell Dale are existing signals that are being rebuilt. The request for acquisition of the tracts would allow the contractor to conduct the necessary construction elements onto the existing properties that are outside of the County's Right-of-Way.
Expected Impact:
The approval of the tracts' acquisition would allow for the designed signal elements to be property installed at the intersection.
Alternative Options:
One alternative option is not to obtaining the necessary tracts. This will require extensive surveying work, and redesign of the signal layouts that will significantly delay the construction of the signals.
