Background and Discussion:

The project addresses uneven pavement and settlement around existing manholes that have created unsafe pedestrian conditions. These deficiencies have led to trip hazards and noncompliance with ADA accessibility standards. Work focuses on restoring safe, level, and durable walking surfaces while protecting surrounding infrastructure.

Expected Impact:

The improvements will enhance pedestrian safety and ensure ADA-compliant accessibility throughout the affected areas. They will also extend the service life of the sidewalk system and reduce future maintenance needs.

Alternative Options:

The alternative option for this proposal would be denial of this project which may have a negative impact on surrounding communities.
