Background and Discussion: Harris County Public Health Mosquito and Vector Control Division (MVC) is charged with protecting residents from mosquito-borne diseases using an integrated mosquito management approach. If Harris County declares that an emergency condition exists that will require the control of mosquitoes by an aerial application of insecticide, MVC will need a vendor to furnish all equipment, services, and chemicals. The geographical areas sprayed, and chemicals used will be determined by MVC. This contract bid is in support of MVC’s mission to protect residents from mosquito-borne diseases and will renew annually.
