end
Background and Discussion:
Public Health Services is seeking approval to create eight (8) new positions in the ARPA Local Recovery funding to support the ACCESS Harris activities associated with our Electronic Medical Record system Epic, which will allow enhancement of technology solutions to support the organization's operational and strategic goals, as well as optimizing the Epic system within the clinical setting. Additionally, funds will be allocated for an agreement with International Business Machines Corporation to enable technology solutions for the ACCESS Harris Initiative. This proposed initiative has been reviewed and approved by the ARPA steering committee under the Coordinated Care Focus Area.
Expected Impact:
These investments will enable centralizing patient records to increase access to healthcare, improve care quality, foster innovation in healthcare delivery, and ensure the provision of essential healthcare services. Simultaneously, the technology infrastructure initiative, geared towards building a robust foundation for the program's lifetime, will establish an Integrated Data Hub and KPI reporting system, facilitating seamless data integration and governance. Together, these efforts optimize healthcare delivery, promote innovation, ensure data integrity, and ultimately elevate community well-being.
