Background and Discussion:

To provide a new parks and recreation trail system with the help of a pedestrian bridge to bring additional mobility connectivity and allow for safer alternatives for the community for foot traffic, hiking, or biking. The pedestrian bridge would connect Memorial MUD to the Willow Fork Drainage District, providing access to neighboring churches, parks and recreation, and commercial property.

Expected Impact:

This project would greatly enhance the community by providing connectivity to numerous amenities and businesses through neighboring MUDs to Barker Reservoir, reducing carbon emissions by providing alternative travel methods to these locations. The project would also provide a safer alternative for residents than walking and biking on major roadways.

Alternative Options:

The alternative option for this proposal would be to determine other funding or to complete these items inhouse. Denial of the request will delay community benefits.
