Background and Discussion:

The project area is located in the Northwest area bounded by Barwood Subdivision on the North, N Eldridge Pkwy on the East, Fallbrook Dr on the South, and Marrs Dr on the West. The subdivision is specifically bounded on the West by HCFCD Unit E133-00-00, on the East by HCFCD Unit E132-00-00. The Tower Oaks Meadows Subdivision primarily served by roadside ditch drainage systems that are directed East to N Eldridge Pkwy, West to HCFCD Unit E133-00-00 and North to an existing storm sewer within a back lot easement on the common line between Tower Oaks Meadows and Barwood Subdivision. The scope of work for this project consists of storm sewer improvements by regrading ditches and providing additional capacity underneath ditches to accommodate for increased conveyance, and full roadway reconstruction in the subdivision.

Expected Impact:

This project seeks to reduce flood risk and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the community. No impact on project schedule or cost anticipated.

The County could elect to approve the requested task or choose to reject it. However, if not approved, the project will not proceed with construction.
