Background and Discussion:

Project Z100-00-00-X323 involves major maintenance activities in the Addicks Reservoir Watershed, Harris County, Texas. Several channels in the watershed have suffered erosion and structural failures from recent storms, requiring repairs to ensure proper and safe function. The project aims to address these failures by installing rock, rebuilding side slopes, replacing inlet structures and storm outfalls, removing sediment, and replacing concrete channel lining. The contract change adds 95 days due to inclement weather and scope changes.

Expected Impact:

This change in contract is needed to complete the construction contract for this project.

Alternative Options:

This is an active construction contract, so there are not many alternatives to approving a change order other than cancelling the contract which is not recommended as doing so would substantially delay the remaining work in the construction contract.
