Background and Discussion:
This project is located in northeast Harris County in the Jackson Bayou watershed. It is to the west of Beaumont Highway and North of Runneburg Road. The existing conditions of the Runneburg Estates are roadside ditches that ultimately drains into HCFCD channel R100-00-00. The proposed improvements are to regrade roadside ditches, construct a new outfall, and a new detention basin for the Runneburg Estates Subdivision
The Change in contract is needed to reconcile the overrunning items with the underrunning items and adding new line items to the contract. Below is a summary of changes:
Quantity Adjustment: The items are adjusted to reconcile overrun and underrun quantities on the project. The increase of quantities on items (items 5, 10, 18, 24, & 38) for an addition in the amount of $40,364.30 and 92
days. The decrease of quantities on underrun line items (Items 4, 14, 16, 20, 25, 48, 56, 57, 63 and 65) for a deduction in the amount of $60,164.30.
New Line Item: Added line item # 70 for Remove and Replace 24in SETs with Type II w/Runners for an additional cost in the amount of $19,800.00 and 7 days.
The above additions and deductions result in a net change in the amount of $0.00 and 99 calendar days.
Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the Runneburg estates subdivision.
Alternative Options:
The County could elect to fund the requested task or choose to reject it. However, if not approved, the contractor will not be able to complete the scope of work.
