Background and Discussion:
OCE was notified by the Purchasing Department that the low bidder, TWL Construction, withdrew their bid submission. Based on the bid results, the recommendation of OCE and the design consultant, IDS Engineering Group, Inc., it is recommended that the lowest responsive bidder, Times Construction, Inc., be awarded the contract.
Expected Impact:
Awarding the contract will allow the recommended bidder to proceed with the constructing the 10-foot-wide asphalt trail, 12-foot-wide concrete pedestrian undercrossing and the pedestrian bridge along Faulkey Gully.
Alternative Options:
The alternative is not to award the contract. If no action is taken, the hike and bike trail, pedestrian undercrossing and the pedestrian bridge along Faulkey Gully will not be constructed.
