title

Request for approval to execute an interlocal agreement with Watco Dock & Rail, L.L.C., for maintenance of its 80’ foot right of way, Precinct 2 Non-Project Related Tasks, Tract Interlocal Agreement - Pct. 2, and that the County Judge execute the access and use easement agreement, UPIN NP102, Precinct 2.

end

Background and Discussion:

The entire project consists of the abandonment and maintenance of the end of Industrial Road, removing the existing Harris County drain to the Houston Ship Channel (HSC) that is currently a single 48’ diameter and replacing with two 54’ drains and extending the existing dock ~350. The construction of a security boat dock for the Harris County Sheriff’s department for use for security patrol boats will also be added. Harris County to enter into an interlocal agreement for maintenance of its 80’ foot right of way.

Expected Impact:

The Harris County Sheriff’s department would gain access to a security boat dock to use for the launching of security patrol boats in the area, and the owner agrees to accept full responsibility for the maintenance of the right of way area.

Alternative Options:

Alternative routes will have a greater impact on existing public infrastructure.
