Background and Discussion:
The project consists of installing a water distribution system to serve Olana Drive. in Precinct 2 of Harris County. The water distribution system includes the installation of waterline along Olana Drive, water service connections to existing residences and the decommissioning of existing wells. Over all 44 Connection Expected is completed
This change in contract includes:
PCO#2: During the final stage of the project, additional applicants requested water service connections beyond the original project scope. Following discussions with Precinct 2 and Harris County Housing and Community Development, it was determined that approximately 50 additional connections were requested by property owners. Harris County Housing and Community Development have already approved the required funding and time extension on their end.
To accommodate this expansion, additional funding in the amount of $213,904.80 and a 120-day contract time extension are being requested. These adjustments are not due to contractor shortcomings but are necessary to provide clean and reliable water service to the additional applicants under this project.
