Background and Discussion:

The Roland Road project is located in west Harris County in Precinct 4. The scope of work for this utility agreement includes stopple and bypass of a 24” pipeline, installation of 1,300’ of 24” pipeline, and pigging, cleaning, cutting, and removing of an existing 24” pipeline by Trunkline. This agreement commits Harris County to reimbursing Trunkline for this work and allows Harris County to install drainage improvements to reduce future flood damage.

Expected Impact:

This project generally seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the community. This utility agreement specifically will allow Trunkline to remove obstacles and Harris County to reimburse Trunkline and install drainage improvements.

Alternative Options:

Alternative options would include redesign of the project to avoid the pipelines or abandonment of the project.
