Background and Discussion:

The Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for Bond Project F-47 Cedar Bayou regional detention project aimed to assess the current magnitude of flood hazards in this study area and propose regional detention within the project limits to reduce future flood damage. This Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) study area is located in Harris County Precinct 3 and involves the middle of the Cedar Bayou watershed between US-90 and IH-10. The recommended project includes a phased approach to constructing two 9-foot-deep wet bottom basins to the north and south of Q118-00-00 near its confluence with Cedar Bayou

Expected Impact:

The acceptance of this PER will allow the Flood Control District to close out the PER stage of the project.

Alternative Options:

The alternative should this PER not be approved is that the Flood Control District will not be able to close out the project.
