Background and Discussion:

The TCEQ GAFF provides financial incentives to purchase electric fleet vehicles. There is no required match. These funds will help reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and reduce the potential for exposure of the public to pollutants.

Expected Impact:

Decommission (9) diesel engine vehicles and replace them with Electric vehicles. This project will strive to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and will prepare for the increased and sustained use of Zero Emission Vehicles

Alternative Options:

The gasoline engine vehicles may be replaced over time with new electric vehicles as funds are available through the annual budget request process.
