Expected Impact:

The Burnett Bayland Master Plan represents the community’s long-term vision to transform Burnett Bayland and adjacent County real estate assets into an expanded 75-acre vibrant public space in the heart of Gulfton. This park will offer something for everyone. From universally accessible amenities to resources for all ages, Burnett Bayland will be a park where you play today and plan for tomorrow. Innovative resources and opportunities will support residents in strengthening their entrepreneurial spirit with spaces to learn and collaborate. The master plan also bolsters the safety and well-being of the neighborhood through green spaces and well-lit areas. Beyond these amenities, the park will connect residents to each other and to nature, offering walkable, shaded paths that make access easy and enjoyable. By incorporating extensive flood and heat mitigation measures, Precinct 4 will enhance the resilience of the area for generations to come. Additionally, with thoughtful planning for affordable housing, we’re ensuring that this transformation will benefit everyone and keep Gulfton, Gulfton.
