Background and Discussion:
Request for approval to negotiate with the top three ranking vendors for Professional Architectural and/or Engineering Services to provide Staff Augmentation Services for Harris County Facility Projects for the Office of the County Engineer, MWDBE Contracted Goal: 20%
The Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) is responsible for delivering a plethora of improvement projects across the county, serving each precinct and other departments as requested with transportation, drainage, housing, public health etc. projects. This staff augmentation contract will improve organization efficiency and maintain project schedules.
Expected Impact:
HCED will improve it’s overall operations - filling staffing gaps, maintaining construction schedules, and enhancing project delivery operations.
Alternative Options:
HCED can explore more staffing options, however this will impact project schedules and their deliveries.
