Background and Discussion:
The (K500-01-00 Detention Basin Expansion) project site consists of stormwater detention basin located northwest of Harris County in Cypress Creek Watershed, discharging into Harris County Flood Control Channel K100-01-00 Cypress Creek.
The change involves adding a missing item to the contract, increasing the current contract value by $5,200.00 to ensure the project is completed as originally intended.

Expected Impact:
The overall objective for this project is to provide stormwater detention storage to mitigate drainage improvements to the Dowdell Woods & Cypress Creek Estates Subdivisions that drain to Cypress Creek. This change enables the addition of a new item to the contract, ensuring the project aligns with the original intent and complies with precinct requirements.
Alternative Options:
No alternative options. If no action is taken, the full intended functionality of the Detention Basin master plan will not be achieved. The pond will not be able to provide the proposed drainage improvements to reduce flooding risks.
