Background and Discussion:

Focused on advancing community health, this year's conference theme, "Deepening Community Health Workers Roots of Leadership, Equity, and Resilience," explores strategies, policies, and practices that empower Community Health Workers (CHWs) to make a measurable impact on health equity and community resilience. Discussions will emphasize skill enhancement, fiscal sustainability, CHW leadership, and health equity, aiming to move from advocacy to action through innovative initiatives and collaborative partnerships.

Expected Impact:

This year’s conference is the second of its kind and is a grant requirement that Public Health is fulfilling. The C. Baldwin offers a great lineup of amenities to support this event and exemplifies the conference message of equity and resiliency through its history.

Alternative Options:

The alternative would be to have another hotel host this conference, but it is likely that the hotel would not meet the standard we need for this event.
