Background and Discussion:
A countywide term contract was created to provide Harris County Engineering Department and the Precincts
with services to include operation and monthly maintenance to existing Wastewater Treatment Plants located
within Harris County. This project is bonded on a per project basis.
Expected Impact:
Harris County Engineering Department and each Precinct has the option to utilize this contract so that the
contractor can provide monthly maintenance to Wastewater Treatment Plants to maintain compliance with
the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Alternative Options:
Harris County Engineering Department and Precincts will need to have specific Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality certified personnel for the Precincts to maintain their own Wastewater Treatment
Plants.
