Background and Discussion:

On June 9, 2023, HCHCD provided match commitment letters for the contribution of $271,995 for the HHA’s FY2021 Rapid Rehousing Renewal project and $551,500 for the FY2022 Rapid Rehousing Renewal project to the Houston Housing Authority (HHA) in eligible matching funds. The source of these funds is Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Rapid Rehousing Case Management dollars. HCD’s Community Impact provides Housing Search and Placement and Rapid Re-Housing Case Management Services to 120 unduplicated literally homeless households receiving CoC RRH through HHA.

According to 24 CFR § 578.73, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between a HUD recipient and the third party providing in-kind match must be established along with the provision of the match commitment.
