Background and Discussion:

The project is located in northeast Harris County in the Cedar Bayou watershed, east of FM 2100 and south of FM 1960. The Forest Manor subdivision consists of roadside ditches and drains into HCFCD channel Q134-00-00. The proposed improvements in the subdivision are to regrade roadside ditches, install storm sewer beneath ditches, construct driveways and driveway culverts. This amendment is required for design and drainage changes related to restrictors that need to be added for interim mitigation while the detention basin is being constructed.

Expected Impact:

This project seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the Forest Manor subdivision.

Alternative Options:

The County could elect to fund the requested task or choose to reject it.  However, if not approved, the project may not be constructed as engineered.
