Background and Discussion:

The National Association of Flood and Stormwater Management Agencies (NAFSMA) is an agency whose membership includes flood management agencies across the nation.  Participation in the organization provides the Flood Control District with the opportunity to engage in policy discussions with Federal Agencies as well as develop strategies to address issues of concern to member agencies through participating in the board of directors, as well as attending regular committee activities and meetings. Standing Committees include Flood Management, Floodplain Management, and Stormwater Management.

 

Expected Impact:

The annual membership cost is $10,000 and is for one year beginning January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027.
