Background and Discussion:

This interlocal agreement is to construct and maintain a public hike and bike trail along HCFCD Unit T103-00-00 from approximately 1,920 feet downstream of T103-02-00 to T103-01-00, and on HCFCD Unit T103-01-00 from the confluence with T103-00-00 to S. Mason Road, to include the addition of a pedestrian bridge crossing HCFCD Unit T103-02-00, with a combined trail length of approximately 10,000 linear feet (1.89 miles).

Expected Impact:

By entering into a hike and bike trail agreement with the (Willow Fork Drainage District) WFDD, it will allow the WFDD to construct sidewalks and features, as well as construct a pedestrian bridge, for the enjoyment of the community.  It also reduces maintenance responsibilities for the District as WFDD will be responsible for the vegetation management in the agreement area.

Alternative Options:

If this interlocal agreement is not executed, WFDD will not be able to construct the proposed trail for use by the public.
