Background and Discussion:

This project is a transportation improvement project for Gessner Road between West Road and Beltway 8, which includes the construction of a new roadway, underground storm sewer systems, drainage culverts along intersecting side streets, large drainage culvert crossing of HCFCD Unit N. E141-00-00, and two detention ponds located on the north side of Houston in Precinct 1.

 

Changes include the addition of lines items to replace existing concrete, the addition of a pay item for a seal slab, the relocation of an existing fence, additional asphalt and additional cement treated sand for subgrade stabilization.  Also, the reconciliation of all bid items for final payment.

 

Expected Impact:

Changes will allow for the project to be constructed per the original intent.

Leave out additional scope and complete work using other county resources.
