Background and Discussion:

The project consists of construction of multimodal connector trail that will connect Spring Creek Greenway Hike and Bike trail to Townsen Park and Ride as well as to the historical US-59 bridge crossing the San Jacinto River in Harris County Precinct 3.

Change includes cost and time for installation of permanent casing for 18-inch and 24-inch drill shaft due to sandy soil condition of the site. ($98,306.00 - 15 days).

And change includes time due to flooding and heavy rain. (4 days).

Expected Impact:
The change allows the installation of bridge drill shaft casings due to the sandy soil conditions at the site, and it compensates the contractor for this change.

Alternative Options:

The alternative would be to redesign the foundation altogether and implement the use of spread footings, which would be more costly and time-consuming.
