Background and Discussion:
Request for approval of an amendment to Interlocal Agreement No. 731 with Harris County to construct and maintain a public hike and bike trail along both sides of HCFCD Units D100-00-00, D132-00-00, and D132-01-00, approximately 5.32 miles in length and 6 feet wide. (Brays Bayou Watershed, Agreement No. 731)
Expected Impact:
By entering into this amended agreement with Harris County, it will allow Harris County to use a 3rd Party for construction and maintenance of the various recreational amenities on District right-of-way, including hike and bike trails.
Alternative Options:
If this interlocal agreement is not amended and executed, Harris County will not be able to contract out or partner with other entities for the design and construction of the proposed trail for use by the public.
