Background and Discussion:
Pursuant to Section 152.905 of the Local Government Code, the Board of District Judges held a public hearing concerning the annual compensation of the court reporters. In accordance with the law, the judges voted on the annual compensation of the court reporters, and memorialized the vote in an Order. For budget and informational purposes, that Order is being provided to Commissioners Court.
There is no change in the annual salary amount, except as noted in the Order which states, “In the event a cost of living increase is granted by Commissioners Court to other County employees for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, the County Auditor is hereby given authority to increase the maximum salaries contained herein (limited to the cost of living percentage granted by Commissioners Court).”
