Background and Discussion: National and local experts weigh in on the most pressing AAPI mental health issues (domestic/ intimate partner violence, cross generational conflict, effects of COVID and anti-Asian sentiment, parenting issues, substance abuse, new immigrant issues, refugee health, older adults), postpartum issues, youth issues, and identify potential resources and solutions, including the creative arts, to address cultural perspectives on mental health, culturally suitable approaches to manage and prevent adverse mental health issues, equipping and mobilizing community- and faith-based organizations to provide resources and services, and sustaining and continually improving services through research and funding.

Expected Impact: Sponsoring a table at this event will help to foster more relationships between HCPL and other community organizations, as well as highlight resources and services that HCPL provides to the Asian American Pacific Islander community in Harris County.
