Background and Discussion:

On January 1, 2020, the County Auditor’s confidential Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA) hotline

(www.harriscounty.ethicspoint.com) was established to allow employees, vendors, grant applicants, and the

general public to anonymously report allegations of fraud, waste & abuse of County funds, resources, and

projects. All allegations are reviewed by the County Auditor’s Office Internal Audit Division (Internal Audit) and

when warranted, investigated by the appropriate agency.

 

 

Expected Impact:

The centralized countywide program allows for anonymous reporting of potential fraud, waste, and abuse

Hotline for Harris County.
