Background and Discussion:

The purpose of the Harris County Housing and Community Development Neighborhood Nuisance Abatement Program is to abate unsafe structures in Harris County neighborhoods that pose a health and safety risk to area residents including children.

 

Expected Impact:

The expected long-range impact is to remove unsafe structures that are public safety and health risks within the community.

 

Alternative Options:

None. This process is required by the Harris County Auditor’s Office prior to receiving grant funds. Approval ensures uninterrupted staffing to support grant activities.
