Background and Discussion:
The project consists of the design and construction the northbound bridge and approaches along Greenhouse Road over Cypress Creek. The project limits are from 0.3 miles north of Winding Willow Oak Way to 0.3 miles south of Mound Road which primarily consists of a bridge that is 1,800 feet in length. This proposed bridge typical section will be a mirror image of the existing southbound bridge which is approximately 1,800 feet with 17 spans and includes a 20-foot approach slab at each end.
Change included adjustment in quantities of concrete various classes, prestressed concrete girders and drain covers. The plans correctly identify the structures and areas to be constructed, but the bid item quantities were underestimated.
