Background and Discussion:

The proposed project is located along Hardy Toll Road at the intersection of Canino Rd. and Hardy St.  It connects residents across the Hardy Toll Road, by providing safe and ADA accessible connections that use the existing bridge spanning across the tollway. The proposed improvements, replacing a traffic signal and adding a HAWK beacon at the intersections, will improve safety along the corridor by bringing the intersection to current design standards. The project aligns HCTRA and Harris County’s goal to improve safety and accessibility along HCTRA facilities for all Harris County residents.

Expected Impact:

This project aligns with Harris County’s goals of providing a reliable, safe, sustainable, and evolving mobility system that meets the diverse connectivity needs of all Harris County residents. Funding from this project comes from Toll Road Authority.
