Background and Discussion:

The ILA has expanded the scope of technology support required to ensure operational efficiency and reliability for Flood Control Department projects. With ongoing infrastructure initiatives, the demand for timely technical support has significantly grown, impacting Universal Services’ capacity to deliver responsive service.

The addition of three shared technology support roles (2 Help Desk Representatives, 1 Lead Client Technology Analyst) will enable us to:

•                     Enhance Responsiveness: Provide faster, direct support to address Flood Control’s technical needs, minimizing downtime and interruptions.

•                     Support Expansion Needs: Effectively manage the increasing technological footprint and ensure a scalable approach as project needs evolve.

Additionally, this request includes the establishment of a new classification code for the Lead Client Technology Analyst position, with an FLSA Exempt designation.

Expected Impact:

Approving these positions will allow Universal Services to meet the ILA obligations efficiently and deliver the level of support required for successful, uninterrupted operation of Flood Control Department initiatives. Thank you for your consideration.
