Background and Discussion:
John Ralston Road is a major thoroughfare that is in poor condition and has been identified for much needed rehabilitation in the form of reconstruction and base repair, mill & overlay.
At Station 81+00 to Station 82+00 was found to be pumping after stabilization with the recommended amount of cement to stabilize the subgrade.
To stabilize the pumping areas, we need to install the following materials:
• Cement Slurry, 1 TON at $385/TON. Total = $385.00
• Stabilized Cement Subgrade, 133 SY at $7.50/ SY. Total = $997.50
• Over-All Total Amount = $1,382.50 with zero days
Expected Impact:
Roadway reconstruction will provide a new road section designed for major thoroughfare traffic and include intersection improvement to accommodate the heavy truck traffic. Work will also include limited storm sewer, signing & striping, and site restoration.
Alternative Options:
Roadway will continue to deteriorate if repairs and rehabilitation are not performed in the near future.
