Request for approval of a corrective Order abandoning a certain Harris County Flood Control District easement along HCFCD Unit No. P145-03-00, tract 02-503.0, to add a property description that correctly identifies the easement, and clearly abandons all right, title, and interest in the easement (Greens Bayou Watershed, Precinct 1).

Background and Discussion:
On December 9, 1997, a drainage easement was abandoned as they were no longer needed by the Flood Control District. The legal description of the easement requires revisions to properly identify the descriptions of the easements to be abandoned, and correct issues that created ambiguity in the title.
Expected Impact:
Approving the corrective Order will authorize the execution of corrective instruments which will clear the ambiguity in title that the previous Order created.
Alternative Options:
Not approving this item would allow the ambiguity in title to remain, thereby preventing the closing of a real estate transaction by a private seller directly affected by an eminent domain case pursued by Harris County.
