Background and Discussion:
On November 7, 2023, the voters approved a $2.5 billion bonds for Harris Health facilities. Harris Health
Board and the Harris County Commissioners Court approved a go forward order to issue the Harris County Hospital District, Limited Tax Bonds, Series 2026. On June 2, 2026, Harris County and the Hospital District successfully priced $783.245 million Limited Tax Bonds, Series 2026, representing the second tranche of voter-authorized debt supporting the LBJ Hospital Expansion Program.
Expected Impact:
The Hospital District issued new money bonds to finance the acquisition, construction, equipment, and/or
enlargement of the District facilities from the 2023 Election voted authority.
