Background and Discussion:

The third annual of its kind, this year’s Maternal and Child Health Conference will build on the momentum from the previous years by supporting the foundation for greater partnerships with community-based organizations and residents within Harris County. Our department’s goal in hosting this annual convening is to educate and empower our attendees while bringing awareness to the data and disparities of maternal and child health care.

Expected Impact:

The Marriot Marquis offers a great lineup of amenities to support this event and is centrally located to offer more accessibility to attendees. The Maternal and Child Health Conference 2025 will have a significant impact by bringing together key stakeholders to explore innovative strategies and solutions aimed at improving maternal and child health outcomes.

Alternative Options:

The alternative would be to have another hotel host this conference, but it is likely that the hotel would not meet the standard we need for this event.
