Background and Discussion:
On January 9, 2024, Commissioners Court approved a State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Cooperative Contract purchase with TEQSYS, Inc. (DIR-TSO-4356) on the basis of low quote in the amount of $2,531,545 for Veritas hardware purchases and software subscriptions for the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) with four (4) one-year renewal options.
On September 19, 2024, Commissioners Court approved a first amendment to the agreement in the additional amount of $47,200 for technical services associated with the Veritas hardware and software subscription, increasing the total contract value for the initial term to $2,578,745.
October 8, 2024, Commissioners Court approved Renewal Option One for the period of December 20, 2024, through December 19, 2025, at a cost of $2,578,745.
On October 16, 2025, Commissioners Court approved Renewal Option Two for the period of December 20, 2025, through December 19, 2026, at a cost of $2,578,745.
Approval is now requested to exercise Renewal Option Three of Four with TEQSYS, Inc. for Veritas hardware purchases, software subscriptions, and related support services for the period of December 20, 2026, through December 19, 2027, at a cost of $2,578,745.
Expected Impact:
Exercising this renewal option will ensure continued access to vendor-supported hardware, software, maintenance, and technical support services necessary to maintain the reliability, security, and availability of HCTRA's information technology infrastructure.
