Background and Discussion:
On August 22, 2017 Commissioners Court approved an Agreement with Geoscience Engineering & Testing, Inc. in the amount of $1,850,000.00 for Construction Materials Testing and Geotechnical Engineering Services in support of the construction of the East Sam Houston Tollway from Interstate 10 (East) to SH 225, the Ship Channel Bridge Program, including the construction of twin bridges over the Houston Ship Channel.
The First Amendment will increase payment from $1,850,000.00 to $3,100,000.00 and update terms and conditions. Amendment also includes an MWDBE goal for the amended value and scope.
This agreement will allow additional services to move forward with the construction of the Ship Channel Bridge Program.
Expected Impact:
Funding for this request will come from the Toll Road Authority.
