Background and Discussion:

The grant project focuses on prevention and surveillance strategies, whereby surveillance data related to mortality, clinical, and related data will be linked to support prevention activities centered around care, education, harm reduction, and coalition-building.

Expected Impact:

These funds will maintain adequate and specialized staff for the ongoing design, development, and distribution of educational materials on harm reduction and overdose prevention, the education and distribution of Naloxone to reverse overdoses in the Harris County community, and the service provisions for Substance Use Disorder and behavioral health and supportive services.
