Background and Discussion: The County engaged BGE, Inc. for the study and design of the project in 2014, and now seeks BGE, Inc., to assist and advise the County during the project’s construction.  The goal of constructing Hufsmith-Kohrville Rd 2 is to replace the existing 2-lane asphalt roadway with a 4-lane concrete boulevard in 100-foot right-of-way with a 32-foot raised median and underground storm sewer system for the updated limits from 250’ south of Rolling Glen Lane to 700’ north of Ezekiel Road.  BGE, Inc. is qualified to perform these professional services. The firm is registered with the Harris County Engineering Department Professional Services Registry.

Expected Impact:  This action will allow the engineer of record to continue supporting the project through construction.

Alternative Options: If no action is taken, the engineer of record will not be accessible for support through the construction of the project.
