Background and Discussion:
The Houston Texans Foundation was created in 2022 to inspire hope and has raised over $50 million dollars to support youth, community, social justice, and racial equity efforts in the Houston community. The Houston Texans Foundation has implemented several programs to address systemic barriers that impact Houstonians' ability to access education, health, and essential resources with a focus of on three communities of focus – Greenspoint, Magnolia Park and Sunnyside.
Xavier Hutchinson is a Professional Football Wide Receiver for the Houston Texans who believe in giving back and providing change & inspiration to those in need.
Expected Impact:
This donation from Xavier Hutchinson and The Houston Texans Foundation is being made in support of the Juvenile Justice Education Alternative Program to provide fifteen (15) kids with an opportunity to attend a live football game at no cost to Harris County or the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department. The donation will provide inspiration and an opportunity to be exposed to positive role models.
