Background and Discussion:
The Harris County Clerk's Office Elections Department is seeking approval to establish an interlocal agreement with the City of Houston Police Department. This agreement will allow for the deployment of HPD Officers to provide law enforcement support during the November 2025 General and Special Elections, as well as the upcoming March 2026 Primary Elections, May 2026 Primary Runoff Elections, and November 2026 General Election. This support will be used at both early voting locations and polling places on election day.
