Background and Discussion:

The Northpointe Blvd Segment 2 project is currently in construction. The project is widening the existing road from a 2-lane concrete road to a 4-lane concrete boulevard. with medians, curb and gutter drainage and a traffic signal at Northpointe Ridge Lane. The installation of the new traffic signal at Northpointe Ridge Lane is almost complete. A Service Outlet Location Statement (SOLS) with CenterPoint was previously approved with an initial ESID number. CenterPoint has since retired the initial ESID number and has issued a new ESID number for the electric service of the signal.

Expected Impact:

In issuing the new ESID number, CenterPoint Energy will be able to assign an account to the County for electric service to the traffic signal. The signal will be energized with a valid account for quantifying the consumption of  electric charge.

Alternative Options:

No alternative option. Electric service is required for the traffic signal to function.
