Background and Discussion:
In the original 02.11.2020 agreement, The Harris County Hospital District, dba Harris Health System (HHS), requested approval of agreements to implement an Epic clinical business and reporting functionality and Electronic Medical Record system to better coordinate patient care with The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD and Harris County/Sheriff’s Office for: 1. Harris County to pay HHS for a portion of the ongoing subscription, maintenance, and support fees related to The Harris Center’s EMR. 2. Harris Health System to implement and maintain an EMR for The Harris Center and provide initial funding in the amount of $10,697,899 while The Harris Center pays a portion of the initial funding and the ongoing subscription, maintenance, and support fees. This first amendment to the interlocal agreement for EMR software subscription, support, and maintenance is to update the annual fees payable by Harris County to Harris Health. The Harris Center and HHS further desire to amend the Agreement to include additional renewal terms.
Expected Impact:
The updated annual fees will be more aligned with the cost of operation.
