Background and Discussion:

The county contract for jury meals services expires July 17, 2024, and it is necessary to continue the partnership with the eligible vendors providing a variety of meal choices for both Civil and Criminal Jurors.

Expected Impact:

The award of the contract will allow for all stakeholders to utilize CJS Subs LLC dba Lenny’s Sub Shop and Treebeards Cloister, LLC as needed during jury trials. The expense for jury meals will continue to impact the budget of the District Clerk’s Office-Jury Room for the remaining of the Fiscal Year 2024.

Alternative Options:

This is the only viable option at this time to continue providing an efficient meal service to all jurors.
