Background and Discussion:
Construction of a new water distribution and sanitary sewer system to serve West Bertrand Street and West Mierianne Street and service connections to eligible residents. Project is one phase of a multi-phase program that builds upon previous phases to bring public water to areas where residents use septic systems and water wells, which are shallow and contamination prone. Many properties have failing septic systems which can contaminate water wells, roadside ditches, and public waterways.
Expected Impact:
Connect residential properties to the newly installed water distribution system and sanitary sewer system to provide reliable quality drinking water and fire hydrants, and reduce bacterial contamination in the environment.
